Fisherman’s Wharf, in San Francisco’s historic waterfront district, was looking for a fresh look and a new set of eyes to bring a different kind of tourist to their bustling attractions. Home to hotels, restaurants and shopping, alongside beautiful bay views, the opportunities to redesign their creative (including a custom map) has been the opportunity of a lifetime. Their openness to a new direction and seeing their wharf through a fresh lens was a great chance for both of us to shine.
Oakland Restaurant Week is a campaign complete with out-of-home, online, print, promotional materials for the participating restaurants, a launch event, etc. Photography was of the utmost importance with this year’s campaign. It had to have the look and feel of Oakland, with a rustic, stylish angle. It was a pleasure working on the campaign again, our 4th year collaborating.
The Oakland Urban Wine Trail was designed as an attempt to bring more people to the wineries locally, without a trip to Sonoma. They needed to create a custom map, brochures, a logo that matched the look and feel of
the Visit Oakland logo, as well as web and print ads. Custom glasses? Sure! Street decal? Why not!? Cheers!
The city of Boston was looking for something fun to attract attention in airline and tourism magazines across the country. This full campaign had multiple sizes. All dates of the bingo event were sold out, with a line outside the door with people hoping for extra tickets.
Pedalfest is a HUGE event featuring cyclists, hobbyists, families and professional BMX bikers. It attracts a massive and diverse crowd, so we wanted to show the fun and excitement it offers.
The idea of combining the movies Grease, Mama Mia and Little Shop of Horrors visually was an exciting one. The final design was playful and funny, and did a great job getting people to the event.
