About Elke Barter
I get to solve my client’s problems every day while putting something new and beautiful into the world. I draw upon my background in advertising and graphic design, and my creativity and playfulness to clearly communicate your mission and vision with personality and warmth.
I trained in creative departments at advertising agencies in Boston and San Francisco. I started my own agency officially in 2010.
My design philosophy is to keep things simple and targeted. I offer a range of options, and all of them are clear, clean, and distilled, but most importantly, on mission. If you can say it with fewer words, design elements, and clutter, then it’s worth exploring. My approach is careful and cerebral. Getting as much information about what my clients are looking for and as much background discovery as possible, I immerse myself in the problem at hand. My approach to the project from new and different angles shows that there is more than one creative solution to a problem. Clients are partners in helping to create new brands and designs that we can all be proud to show off.
When not solving design problems, I am embarrassing my two kids, enjoying Denver, or listening to an audiobook while baking up a storm.
